I had the amazing opportunity to attend a benefit showing of “Where the Wild Things Are” for Dave Eggers’ 826 nonprofit tutoring program.
He is honestly one of my idols, and one of my favorite authors, so just imagine my surprise when I found out my mom somehow got us VIP tickets which included drinks and light food WITH DAVE EGGERS, SPIKE JONZE, AND CATHERINE KEENER.
I was basically a shaking mess, totally nervous to meet Dave, and he turned out to be extraordinarily kind. Same goes with the others too.
Oh, and you should see Where the Wild Things Are, it is phenomenal.
